What QC Evidence Should a Mahjong Supplier Provide?
Photo audits, video walkthroughs, golden samples and third-party inspection — the evidence ladder a transparent mahjong supplier offers at every stage.
Trust, but Photograph
"We have strict QC" is the most common sentence in manufacturing and the least informative. Evidence is the difference. A transparent supplier offers a ladder of proof — each rung cheap for them to provide and decisive for you to receive.
Rung 1: The Process Map
Before production: a written description of inspection gates — incoming material, in-process dimensional, coloring/finish, final full-set audit — with what is checked and what happens on failure. This is a document, costs nothing, and instantly separates process from poetry.
Rung 2: Production Photos
During the run: dated line photos of your actual order — your compound batches, your artwork on the engraving cell, your sets on the final audit bench. Weekly or at agreed checkpoints. A supplier who resists photos of your own goods is telling you something.
Rung 3: The Final-Audit Record
Before packing: the full-set audit record — tile counts, joker counts, accessory completeness, appearance comparison to golden sample — documented in photos, or video for larger programs. Ask to see the audit format before you order; the form reveals the rigor.
Rung 4: Your Eyes, Live or On Site
The top rung: live video walkthroughs at any checkpoint, on-site buyer audits, and hosting of third-party inspectors (SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV, your own QC firm) at pre-shipment or mid-production. We host all three routinely — a factory confident in its gates invites witnesses.
Asking Without Offending
Professional suppliers are not offended by evidence requests — they are organized for them. Frame it as program policy: "Our standard for new suppliers includes a process map, checkpoint photos and a pre-shipment audit record." Suppliers who meet the ladder eagerly are the ones whose quality survives contact with a container.
